You feel as though you are looking up from a deep, dark pit of depression. You realize the need to crawl out of this pit but you lack the energy to help yourself. One’s sense of self-worth seems to be lost. Faults scream out while worthwhile attributes remain hidden. Counseling may help.

When depressed, you feel as though you are on the verge of tears. You are afraid that if you begin to cry that you won’t be able to stop. Perhaps you have cried a river of tears and now it seems as though you cannot cry anymore, your tears seem to have dried up. Counseling can help.

The world has lost its color; everything appears in shades of gray. Even simple chores require more energy than you have to give. You think of things you should be doing but find yourself spending time sitting on the sofa or, even worse, laying in bed wanting to escape the world. Counseling will help.

There is path out of this darkness. Even if antidepressant medicine has not helped, you are not hopeless! If you are willing to work with me, we can forge a path out of the darkness into a brighter day.
