Dr. Shelley is a clinical psychologist with a degree in school-clinical child psychology from Pacy University. Dr. Shelley specializes in assessment (psychological, neuropsychological, diagnostic) and individual and family therapy. Her testing services include learning disability evaluations (verbal/nonverbal learning disabilities, mathematics disorders, dyslexia, etc), neuropsychological assessments (ADHD, executive processes, phonological skills, visuospatial skills, fine motor problems, etc.), pervasive developmental disorder evaluations (including use of the ADOS), and diagnostic evaluations to clarify diagnoses or develop a clearer picture of psychological structure and functioning.

Dr. Shelley's approach to Individual therapy has a relational focus, in which current difficulties are understood through the therapeutic relationship. Her treatment with children include more creative ways to understand the underlying mechanisms of their difficulties. She uses play therapy techniques, along with family treatment, with her work with children. She is currently establishing a group with those diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorders, or others with difficulties with interpersonal skills.

Dr. Shelley does not accept insurance, however, she will provide a bill for you to submit to your insurance company. She also offers a few appointments to those requiring a sliding scale. This is likely a difficult and stressful time for you and your family. It is time to get the help you need. Call with any questions you may have.
